Office Training

The second week at the MTC consisted of office training. Five other couples were also training. We found out that it takes a lot of money and a lot of time to keep a mission running smoothly. .
Some people really get in to their studies.
Our wonderful teachers!

The District

Last week we were divided up into Districts. This gave us the opportunity to get some personal and group training. We had the very best District! These people are amazing.
Elder and Sister Call demonstrated how age and experience really do matter. This is their 4th mission and their ability to communicate with others through the Spirit really showed. We learned so much for them.
Elder and Sister Walker, we secretly called Elder Walker "the Rock", both steadfast and immovable in the gospel. So well versed in their knowledge of the gospel and filled with the Spirit, their enthusiasm will set their mission on fire.
Elder and Sister Waite can be described as quiet dignity with a heart that is willing to serve. However, they have a keen sense of humor and could really make us laugh! You could expect the unexpected with them.

Classes, Classes and more Classes

We have had a wonderful week of classes. At the MTC it feels like we are in another world, or maybe a better way to put it would be that we are separated from the world. We have been taught by the Spirit by the minute and our glasses are filled to over flowing. It has been a long time since I have felt that way. We were divided into Districts so that we could receive some specialized training. Our teachers are so YOUNG, but filled with so much wisdom.
This is Brother Bateman, he was our morning teacher. So FUN, an incredible teacher, so well versed in the scriptures. He could teach the Restoration and the Plan of Salvation in 3 to 4 minutes. Great at sequencing and small basic steps. For all school teachers, you know how important that is.
This is Sister Yazzie, she was our afternoon teacher. She to was a lot of fun. Also well versed in the scriptures, she was great at helping us ask penetrating questions and bring to our memory personal experiences that could help us in our missionary work. Both teachers were great at building our confidence and passing on the enthusiasm of this work.

Home Sweet Home for 11Days

This has been our home sweet home for the past week. I love the shower and the bed is quite comfy. We can look out our window and see part of the campus. We are on the 3rd floor but we have an elevator. It is a little ironic, we ride the elevator and then walk 2 doors down to the exercise room, and we need the exercise room because the food is great. I'm loving not having to cook!
