In March we had 3 Zone Conferences with Elder Zeballos of the 1st Quorum of the Seventy. This is Elder L and I at the Concepcion Zone Conference.
The missionaries in the Concepcion Zone.
The Chillan Zone Conference, you can see that I am doing what I do best!
Elder Herrera an office elder and Hermana Arrington.
This is Lilly, the President's cook, getting ready to mix the fruit salad.
Elder L enjoying lunch at the Penco Zone Conference.
The lunch in Penco was 3 meat filled empanadas, fresh fruit salad and carrot cake. In Concepcion we had chicken, pasta salad, rolls and brownies and in Chillan we had rice with a meat topping. The good thing about Chillan was that it was catered. It was a lot of work and a lot of fun!
"The standard of truth has been erected; no unhallowed can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent , visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done." Centro Ward Going Away Party for the Kimballs
The Centro Ward had a wonderful going away party for the Kimballs. Of course the Cueca dance was performed by some of the youth in the ward.
The Bishop joins in on the fun. He loves to dance.
The guests of honor are enjoying themselves. The ward loves them and they love the ward.
Brother Castellon, the ward mission leader, entertains the crowd with the "campecino song".
The Relief Society sisters performed a traditional dance about the formation of Easter Island. They looked so cute with their costumes and the way they decorated the stage.
The ward loved all of the performances.
The Relief Society president makes a special presentation to Sister Kimball. The president looks so cute in her traditional cueca dress.
The 1st counselor in the Bishopric also makes a special presentation.
The Kimballs say goodbye to the ward. We were all sad to see them go. They were great people who served well.

Cueca & Mamut
We love going to downtown Concepcion. Sometime we get to see some fun sights. These two kids are doing the national folk dance called the "Cueca".
Elder L calls this the yuppie restaurant, but I really like eating here. The food is good but the salads are overpriced.
Eating at Mamut with the Balden's and the Pendley's.
Elder L joins in on the conversation. What a fun time!
