August - Part 1

Going to lunch with our good friends, the Pendley's. This little cafe is only a few blocks away from the office.
The restaurant was decorated with antique sewing machines and horse stirrups. It was really cold inside and outside. Luckily we were able to sit close to the wood stove.
This hombre was entertaining people downtown by the plaza with his little dancing skeleton.
You can see our apartment building in the background. This is a large vacant lot by our building.

A man set up a temporary shelter to keep him warm in the winter.

This is our building. It is modern and nice.
We like it here except when the young 'uns  have loud noisy parties on Friday nights.
 Our home away from home.
In August we went to Chillan to haul furniture around and make repairs on some of the apartments.
 I
This is where some of the sister missionaries live.
It is a very nice home.
 This is their kitchen.
We also visited some of the elders. They also have a nice home.
Elder Barnes, in the middle, is from our neck of the woods.
Elder L. looking at what needs to be done in the kitchen.
We also visited another elder's home. This is elder Hartvigsen, Morgan, Watts and Gillespie. Great elders except for the backward baseball cap.

Their home was nice and clean.
A visit to Liter, the Chile form of Walmart. Look Ma, they play Bingo in Chile. Elder L thought of you when he saw it.
