"The standard of truth has been erected; no unhallowed can stop the work from progressing; persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, calumny may defame, but the truth of God will go forth boldly, nobly, and independent, till it has penetrated every continent , visited every clime, swept every country, and sounded in every ear, till the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done." Joseph Smith Jr.

Just a Walk in the Park
They have lots of flower shops in Concepcion. This is a flower booth in Ecuador Park in downtown Concepcion.
This is the Institute building over by the University campus.
Just a random picture of some of the street vendors.
What can I say??? I'm a lucky dog!!!???
This pastry shop is just about 4 blocks down from the office. It is almost worth the walk.
These next few pictures are from a park that is just kitty corner from our apartment building. In fact, I can look out both of the bedroom windows and see it. It is locked up most of the time because the bums like to hang out in it, so the city keeps it locked up. We walked by it one Friday afternoon on our way to lunch and it happened to be unlocked. So we seized the moment and took a walk through it. It was very interesting to look at but it smelled of urine. I am glad we got to see it. The Clawson's, who lived in our apartment before us, never got to see it because it was always locked up.
We made it to the top!!!
Going down was lots of fun.
We are having soooo much fun that it is more like an extended vacation with lots and lots of friends than a mission.
Nothing like red-neck roses for valentine's day. I've always been a more wild-flower type of gal.
